Being a part of Ulster County means something to us. We want to give back to a community that gives so much to us. With that said, back to school season is right around the corner! As the weather gets warmer, the housing market is only continuing to flourish and in the seller’s favor! The pandemic has changed much of what we have accepted as normal. For example, working a 9 to 5 office job with a commute into or within the big city has been a standard for many industries for a long time. Within the past year, however, countless people have either lost their jobs or have been working from home for an extended period of time. Spring is here and we’re all excited to get outside and enjoy the most beautiful parts of Ulster County. Our own UCBR Community Service Committee was hard at work on April 14th, putting in the elbow grease needed to clean up our berme located on the Hurley Rail Trail. A berme, you ask? What exactly is that? According to thefreedictionary.com, a berme (can also be spelled berm) is a “a narrow ledge or shelf, as along the top or bottom of a slope” or a “a mound or bank of earth, used especially as a barrier or to provide insulation.”...
