Ulster County Board of REALTORS® Holds “Operation Backpack” 2022

With August coming to an end and children preparing to return to school in the next couple of weeks, parents are busy running to the stores to gather all the school supplies needed to start the new school year. Unfortunately, there are a number of families in the Ulster County area that are struggling to afford necessities and unable to afford the extra costs of school supplies, such as backpacks.

With the rapid inflation making matters worse, the Ulster County Board of REALTORS® has again partnered with the Boy and Girls Club to collect local donations of backpacks, pencils, pens, crayons, folders, composition notebooks, and spiral notebooks to children in need. The Ulster County Board of REALTORS® was able to collect a sizeable amount of donations for this year which will help benefit many children in need in the Ulster County, NY area.

The UCBR continues to look for new ways to give back to their local community and there is nothing better than helping the future of our nation, states, and local areas. The Ulster County Board of REALTORS® board members have stated, “The children are our future. If they are not set up for success, what does that mean for the future of not only our nation but our local areas as well? The children are the ones we should be investing in the most and we are grateful to be able to provide for those in need.”

Thank you to all who have donated to this crucial cause. Without the participation of our local community members, Operation Backpack would not have been the success it was.
