It was a perfect warm spring day on March 13th, 2024, and we at the Ulster County Board of REALTORS® celebrated our Top Producer Awards for 2024. We had a great turnout with both sponsors and our many REALTOR® members at the Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, NY. We were so glad to see so many of our REALTORS® come out and participate in this event, celebrating one another’s achievements.

The event began with our wonderful sponsors setting up tables for our REALTORS® to visit and learn more about how our sponsors can benefit them and their real estate clients. Our REALTORS® were also able to network with each other and our sponsors. We would like to extend our appreciation to our amazing sponsors for taking the time to attend our event and host booths for our REALTOR® members.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our REALTORS® enjoyed a delicious breakfast courtesy of the Wiltwyck Golf Club. Thank you to the Wiltwyck Golf Club for hosting our event and providing our REALTORS®, sponsors, and guests with a delicious assortment of breakfast items.

Our meeting began with Kyle Buckley of Ulster Savings Bank, starting with the Pledge of Allegiance and introducing our Top Producer Awards ceremony. Kyle then introduced Ward P. Todd, the President of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, as our key speaker for the Top Producer Awards. Ward thanked our REALTORS® and spoke about how they play such an economic role in Ulster County as they are the first point of contact for those looking to move to the area. Ward then continued to showcase the importance of supporting local businesses, including our REALTORS®, and how they help to bring revenue to Ulster County.

Ward then invited Jess Davis, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. Jess shared some effective social media tips for our REALTORS®, including planning your social media posts a month in advance with the help of a social media calendar. Another social media tip Jess shared was to create content that relates to the wants and needs of your target market to help capture their interest.

 

Next, one of our Community Service Committee members, Pieta Williams, announced the amazing donations the Ulster County Board of REALTORS® members made to help the local Ulster County Community. Last year, 200 backpacks were donated with classroom supplies such as pencils and pencil boxes for children in need, and 300 Thanksgiving Baskets with all of the fixings were given for Thanksgiving to those in need. Pieta stated that letters were sent to thank the Ulster County Board of REALTORS®, which helped many have a Thanksgiving feast. And finally, for December, 150 coats were donated to children in need to keep warm.

Our raffle was announced next, with Mary Orapello winning the 50/50 raffle, which was a total prize of $222. Mary walked up to claim her prize, but after coming up, she surprised our committee by donating the money back! A special thank you to Mary for the selfless donation to our Community Service Committee. Pieta closed with a thank you to all the members and announced that they would stay tuned for upcoming information on the cleaning of the Berme.

Kyle then called up Eliana Amodio to announce both the Rising Star Award of 2023, which was awarded to Jodi Keller, and the Rookie of the Year of 2023 Award, which was awarded to Ronnie McPeak. Then Jeanine Stoddard announced the Rookie of the Year awarded to Megan Forziati.

Our Ulster County Board of REALTORS® President, Donna Brooks, came to the stage to thank our amazing sponsors and handed out certificate awards to each of our sponsors. Donna then announced our UCBR Top Producer Awards and handed out certificate awards to our top producers with the help of Robin. Thank you, Robin, for your help in handing out the certificate awards!

Jeanine Stoddard was invited back up to announce the RPAC Awards awarded to Tim Sweeny and Alfred Peavy. Our MLS President, Candida Ellis, then made her way up to announce our Top MLS Producers. Before announcing our award winners, she first announced that the UCBR will be switching to Flex MLS on April 15th, 2024, and training for the switch will soon be announced, and for REALTORS® to remain updated.

 

After our Top Producers were awarded, Kyle returned to the stage to close the meeting.
